The following section provides information on the creation of written assignments with Turnitin. In addition to creating a place for the assignment, be sure to incorporate a rubric that allows the student to meet or exceed your requirements and provide you as the faculty member with the means to assess more objectively and guide your feedback to the student.
1. Add an Assignment (Learning Tool format).
2. Select Turnitin from the Learning Tool Library.
3. Set your assignment details in Step One. (Specify the course details, including the name of the assignment, unit, type, audience, due date, release date, and point value.)
4. Under Step Two, select options for how you would like students to launch the tool and/or if you would like to turn off access at a certain time. NOTE: selecting the option to disallow launch would limit students' ability to view feedback as it is .
5. Provide the description and instruction in Step Three before clicking on Save your assignment.
5. On the next section, the upper portion will be automatically set from eLearning. Click on Optional Settings to specify submission options, grading rubric, and other settings per your requirements before clicking Submit.
Once assignments are submitted, they will appear in the LTI's Assignment Inbox.
