The default settings for organizing assignments is by unit and due date. If you would like to modify any of those settings, click on the Configuration link on the Coursework page.
If you would like to display assignments by type of assignment rather than unit, click on "Group by Assignment Type instead". These settings can be changed at any time throughout the course but best practices would be to set this prior to the beginning of the course.
If you would like to arrange the way assignments are displayed in a unit, click Change ordering.
A pop-up will inquire as to the new ordering preferred.
Student comments
By default, student comments are allowed on assignments. This is a way that the student can comment on a specific area of coursework to alert you of pertinent information to that assignment without needing to send an email with a specific course ID and assignment. You may also set whether or not you receive an email notification once a comment it posted.
