Submitting a File

Navigate to the assignment in the course overview area or in the Coursework area using the course context navigation menu. 

Click on the name of the assignment to open the instructions and view any additional information about the assignment itself. 

You will again see any specific requirements for the forum on this page, including any instructions provided by your professor and grading information pertinent to your course. To submit a file, click the link in the blue box that says, “Launch the tool”. 


A window will populate just below that button that will include the options for Turnitin. 

Click the blue button that says “Upload Submission”. 


File types that may be uploaded here include:

  • Microsoft Word

  • PowerPoint

  • WordPerfect

  • PostScript

  • PDF

  • HTML

  • RTF

  • OpenOffice (ODT)

  • Hangul (HWP)

  • Google Docs (submitted via the Google Drive submission option),

  • Plain text files


You may opt to upload a file from your local device, type your submission, or select a file from Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox

Once you are satisfied with the file selected, click “Upload and Review”. 


Once the file is uploaded, you can preview it or click “Submit to Turnitin”. 


Once the file has been successfully submitted, you will see a green checkmark appear, demonstrating your success.
