You may opt to upload a file from your local device, type your submission, or select a file from Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox

Once you are satisfied with the file selected, click “Upload and Review”.

Once the file is uploaded, you can preview it or click “Submit to Turnitin”.

Once the file has been successfully submitted, you will see a green checkmark appear, demonstrating your success.

Viewing a Submission

If you would like to review the submission, follow the same path to access the Turnitin box and click the percentage value listed there. You can review your similarity report, ETS report, and download the report to a PDF just to name a few things. Keep in mind that the report may take a few moments to generate and in some cases, the professor may not allow your review of this until after the due date. To retrieve this information, you may either click the refresh button on your browser and click “Launch the tool” or navigate back to this area after a few moments.

Resubmissions

Depending on the settings determine by your professor, you may be able to resubmit a file until the due date. If this feature is enabled, you will see a resubmission link to the right of the percentage indicator. Select that link to choose a new file for upload.

PeerMark Reviews

You will also navigate to this area to perform a peer review. A peer review tab will be visible inside the Turnitin box if that feature is enabled.

After clicking on that tab, you will have an option to begin your peer review if that assignment is open. Otherwise, additional information will be available to you to specify when that should be completed. To begin the peer review, select the link that says, “Start Peer Review”.

A new tab will open in your browser to take you to a student’s submission. You will have the option to review the submission with predetermined questions, add comments, save the PeerMark review to return and complete at a later date, and submit the PeerMark review.

If the window for reviews has not opened or has closed, you will not be allowed to perform your work. Please be sure to reach out to your professor directly if this is the case. They may allow you to go back into an assignment after the due date.

You will also return to this area once the feedback release date has passed to read any peer reviews submitted to you from other students. Click on “received feedback” to view that information.

Review Grading & Comments

To review your grade on a Turnitin assignment or to download a copy of the submission, follow the same path pack to this assignment via coursework and launching the tool for Turnitin. If the assignment is graded, you will see a numeric value there. Click on the grade to open the feedback and grading for that assignment. If there is no grade showing there, but a grade appears in eLearning, this means that the assignment has been graded, but the feedback release date is still in the future. Your professor controls when the comments and grading remarks are released for any assignment.

In the right-hand menu, you can review your professor’s comments, review the similarity report, review the ETS markings, and download some or all of these in a combined PDF by clicking on the download arrow in the right-hand menu. When you are finished reviewing or downloading your submission, close the tab in your browser to return to your eLearning course context.
